Roles and Responsibilities
  • Attending on-board lectures
    NUS students should attend all lectures with the students from Hyogo and actively participate in discussions, presentations and exchange of opinions when appropriate. (The lectures will be conducted in Japanese.)
  • Presentation on current trends of Singapore
    During the lecture on current trends of Singapore, NUS students will give a presentation on their generations’ attitudes and current realities.
  • Participation in group activities with students from Hyogo
    While on board, one NUS student will be placed in each group of students from Hyogo (approximately 24 members). NUS students are asked to participate in competitions, events and recreational activities as part of their designated group.
  • Singlish/English language class
    NUS students will give one class (60 minutes) of Singlish/English language to students who are motivated to learn.
  • Participation in discussions with the students from Hyogo
    NUS students are asked to participate in discussions where both Singaporean and Hyogo students discuss various topics of interest.
  • Participation in the exchange party between Singaporean and Hyogo students/cultural presentations
    The day following the departure, there will be an exchange party to facilitate cultural exchange. NUS students are asked to introduce themselves, give a cultural presentation of Singaporean songs/dances or plan activities such as quizzes and games.
  • Participation in an exchange event during the visits to universities
    NUS students are asked to participate in exchange activities during the visit to NUS, which takes place on Friday, 3 September from 10:00 to 14:00.
  • Presence at the on-board exchange party
    The presence of NUS students are requested at the on-board exchange party taking place on Friday, 3 September from 18:00 to 19:30.

    • local transportation (from Perth Airport to our ship)
    • on-board cabin and meals

    • airfare (from Singapore Changi Airport to Perth Airport)
